Any part of a calendar day is considered a full day, except for canoes, life vests and paddles which are charged as half days if they are taken out after 1 p. m. or returned before 1 p. m. The sixth day is free on all partial outfitting rentals. Non-profit groups that are exempt from Minnesota sales tax are offered a 10% discount on all rentals.

Our Unique General Store sells waterproof, topographic canoeing maps, fishing licenses, bait, tackle, insect repellent, camping equipment and accessories, clothing, dehydrated food, fresh foods and everything else you need for a wilderness canoe trip.

BWCA Wilderness Entry Permits are required by the U. S. Forest Service. The entry permit allows you to enter the BWCA Wilderness on a certain date at a particular entry point. You can check permit availablility and reserve a permit yourself on the web at: www.bwcaw.org or by calling toll free 1-877-550-6777. If you prefer, we can reserve your permit for you. Deposits - We require $50.00/canoe for equipment rentals. Deposits will be refunded if you cancel 5 or more days in advance.
